I was playing on the fact it is a S&W not a Sig. Agreed, it is a fair question.

Well I really liked the the grip, the overall for, finish and feel of sigs P320 ..... but after the drop fire issue was discovered and then Sigs first response ...... well I decided maybe I would look at another pistol isntead.

If Ruger would have discovered the same problem with one of their pistols I think they would have had a recall out within 24 hours.......maybe 48

What are the differences betwixt the 2.0 and the regular M&P? I had one for a little while and then went back to my Glock. I was less than impressed.

Is the 2.0 really better? Or did they just basically do cosmetics to it?

Lots of minor differences referenced in the link Dennis posted. The trigger is better as the article stated. Still not as nice as the Apex aftermarket, but as good or better than any stock M&P I've owned.
The article doesn't mention the changes to reduce/eliminate auto forwarding. Also the grip inserts and the retention stem has been changed to allow them to change out much easier. They will fit the 1.0s but the grip and retention stem have to both swap.

Stippling is great, but maybe a bit too aggressive for concealed carry. Garments tend to snag on it. I wear IWB without an undershirt. I had to tame it down a bit where it runs the skin. A bit is sandpaper knock the high spots easily.

The article said holsters are compatible. That is not necessarily true. Most leather will work with the 4.25" FS. Kydex will be hit or miss. Some might not notice, but there are several points that will need to be refit on many Kydex holsters. More problems with the .40 5" as the slide is as wide as the 4.25".

The real story is the 2.0 compact. I'm not a fan of the 1.0 9mm Compact at all. The new 2.0 rocks!!!!

The frame from the trigger guard up is the same. The grip is .020-.090" narrower depending on where you measure. It has been shortened slightly and uses a 15 round magazine. The barrel and slide are 1/4 shorter. Almost a perfect match for a G19! I really like it. Well played S&W!!!!

That's a 17rd mag fully inserted in the 15rd Compact.
