No doubt! I really enjoy sitting in the snow and I really look forward to it this year on new property with pigs and cattle. I've never had such a difficult time in locating actual deer trails.
Yeah cattle country has its issues. Been there on a lease a long time ago.
I've also noted in the snow it's like zero wind. Nothing moves alot in Ok anyway. Up North where snow is on the ground all winter, it's not a biggie for them, but in OK, everything seems to hunker down for the first day or two. After that it's either gone, or they start browsing again.

On public land (all I knew before this year) they moved heavily as soon as the snow started falling and never seemed to quit. Maybe that's because where I hunted was more heavily wooded than your area, Dennis? I think I'm only getting a half day hunt in this weekend due to my wife preparing Christmas dinner. Booo. Will burn a day off after Christmas to make up for it. Want to put the holiday doe tag to use.

You may have a good point.
I could see the North Pole if not for the curvature of the earth.
I can see where locations with wooded areas would be different.

Phfft. I could see a lotta my err... stuff if not for curvatures... :D
LOL,
I meant to say that If not for barbed wire fences, I could see the north pole. What helps currently is that the wind has blown most of the barbs off the fences that helps visibility.

(first liar doesn't have a chance)

As the saying goes, "Nothing betwixt us and the north pole but a barbed-wire fence... and it's down." :D

I was going through three SD cards last night that I pulled in September and never downloaded, and I found pictures of the buck I killed in velvet. He was a nice buck but way more impressive then.
