My wife is wanting a good OTF auto to carry. Her sister just bought a microtech which is nice, but the wife won't spend that. I have been carrying a Boker side auto for over 10 years. It has been great and is well used. I would also like to get an OTF auto.
Here is my question. Can you get a quality OTF auto in the $100 range?
If not, what do you think is the best bang for the buck?

My son carries a Ravencrest Tactical http://ravencresttactical.com/product-category/titan-otf-tactical-knives/ and seems to like it fairly well. I think he paid about $100 for it at the Tulsa gun show. I carry a smaller clone of the Ravencrest from Regicide that I bought, also at the Tulsa gun show for $50. http://regicideknifetool.com/ The Regicide seems well made however I had hell getting it sharp and can't seem to keep it sharp. As with any OTF it will occasionally fail to lock open when it's fired. I would never consider it a defensive tool. Very handy for a working knife though. Besides the OTF action is just fun :D

I've been wanting an HK OTF for a while. They are around $200 but they are made and supported by Benchmade from what I understand. I've never had a bad experience with Benchmade whereas you void the Microtech warranty if you sharpen your own knife. Maybe this should not bother me, but that plus the price point does.

ETA: It looks like HK and Benchmade are done. I am very interested in how the OTF's Pnuner mentioned held up.
