I've been carrying for a while. I carry a full-sized .45 1911. It's bulky, huge, heavy etc.

I need to switch to a much smaller .380 or 9mm handgun.

I want it to be as small as possible but reliable and cheap(under 500)

I thought this would be a great place to ask for advice, because i keep getting contradictory information from the internet.

1. Pics of 1911 needed and how carried.
2. There MUST be something wrong with your computer, how could one possibly get contradictory information from the internet? If it's on the internets, it has to be true. I'd call them Geek Squad folks and tell 'em that; yessir, I sure would. They can prolly fix it for you.

If I *had* to carry a .380, I'd carry the Sig P238. Softest and most comfortable shooting 380 I've ever shot.

If I'm wearing dress pants and can't use a holster, I drop a Scandium J-Frame 357 in the pocket and forget it's there.

Unfortunately, neither of those fit the budget you have :-(

i have a Taurus TCP. It carries well. i haven't shot it yet. :hothead: I'm not really a taurus fan but every review I've read is positive on the TCP. Picked it up for 160. not a bad deal IMO. I'd like to shoot a glock 43. I've held a few and they seem pretty dang slim. Perfect for a ccw.

Lcp stainless. I did a few tweaks to make the gun more shootable for me. Heavier spring, stainless guide rod and a hogue slip on. Desantis G3 pocket holster. Very nice package for under $350.00

I've had mine for several years now,,,
You almost forget it's riding on your hip.

I go to the range quite often,,,
Every time I go I shoot the mag in it.

In those many trips and many more hundred rounds of practice shooting,,,
The little girl hasn't had even one hiccup.

And, with just a bit of practice,,,
One can hit with it very well.

Lotsa good guns out there in the size you want,,,
I don't think any are better than the LCP.
