There is a stretch of Highway that on I-44 that runs by OCCC that’s named after Bill Kalsu. He was an all All-American tackle @ OU that went on to be rookie of the year with the Buffalo Bills. He went to Nam to satisfy his ROTC obligations and died in combat for our country. True hero also. His son was born two days after he was killed. I’ve known his son and wife for several years tending to their Ac and heat. Great people that lost a great man sacrificing for our country. I’m sure he could have got out of going, but he had the integrity to fulfill his agreement. My dad was drafted and served. My mom said he came back a different man. He still hardly talks about it other than saying he came back alive. I’m not really sure what all he saw, but I know it affected him greatly.
