It doesn’t matter. Liquor by the drink, wine in grocery stores, casino gambling, medical weed, recreational weed. Morals are eroding in America and nothing good will come of it. The almighty dollar is king and fewer people actually care about anyone but themselves. We all have choices and consequences for those choices. We can argue that the less the government regulates things the better it is for everyone. Let’s just do away with all laws and let everyone fend for themselves.
That would take care of crime.

Which is safer, seeing the yellow light and hitting the gas or waiting for the stop sign to turn green?
I don't have any recent experience with MJ but it doesn't work that way. Given an only choice, I would much rather be surrounded by pot heads on the highway, than a bunch of drunks. In addition, I know several veterans that use MJ to help relieve pain, and not one of them turns into some sort of 'zombie' staring off into oblivion.

I disagree, it's a dangerous substance and needs regulated. Just like ammo, certain types shouldn't be available to everyone, and there should be restrictions on how much you can buy. Lawmakers in the capitol should decide those things and get armed security to enforce them.
Hows it dangerous? Not one confirmed case of an OD from weed has ever been reported. Not 1

I was joking around. Much of the time you cannot tell if someone has had some. Also the assumption seems to be everyone that uses it, abuses it. That’s not true with alcohol. Why make that assumption with other things?

RE: ATF 4473's question 21.g:

"Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?

Warning: The use or possession of marijuana remains unlawful under Federal law regardless of whether it has been legalized or decriminalized for medicinal or recreational purposes in the state where you reside."

In this context, do the feds make a distinction between edibles vs smoking, whether recreational or medicinal?

I'm in my 80's with some long term heart problems requiring blood thinners and related meds. The meds work great, but rule out taking most arthritis relief medications, and of course being an old fart I have a ton of arthritis pain. I've never been a user of any kind of MJ and have zero interest in "weed", but would dearly love to be able to nibble a cookie, a chunk of brownie, or some similar small "infused" snack before bedtime to help me sleep. The way I read Question 21.g, a person cannot answer "NO" and buy a gun if they have a medical MJ license (and actually use it).

Yet they don't enforce any federal immigration laws...maybe if you were an illegal they would let you buy a gun anyway too?

This' exactly why my oldest friend refuses to try and get a gun, despite how badly he wanted one how the nation was a mess over the last few years. He would rather be without than risk regretting it in the worst way later. I'm still struggling with this personally because he uses MJ for depression, but I think I'd be more than a lil bummed out being injured or dead. I think I'd be more stressed out being defenseless in a nasty situation, but I'm also more of a worst-case-scenario kind of person. But, it's his choice, and as his friend, I won't judge or try to change his mind, just hope he never regrets it.
Honestly, I think this whole weed craze and acceptance is just another way for the gov to swoop in later and try to strip some 2A rights from people..."We told you it was illegal!" kind of thing.

That's exactly what I expect. MMJ would really help when a bout of insomnia pops up, which is about 2-4 times a year. I refuse to risk my legal possession of firearms though, so I will continue to just find something productive to do those nights and power through.
