I think the last i saw on numbers were NRA 5 mil +, GOA 2 mil+. The gap is closing a little bit, but both are on the increase it looks like. I think we can understand why that might be. I am not a NRA member at present, but have been in the past. I am a member of OK2A and GOA. I do not agree with the NRA and i disagree with that being the only option. I looked a long time for options that did not involve the NRA and found a few, but ended up with the hunting license/Lexington as my main route, with fouled bore in Ninnekah as a secondary. If things go in a positive way i will get more involved at Fouled Bore. Lexington/WMA ranges seem to be the best deal for sighting in rifles or working on pistols outside for low cost investment. Fouled bore has a small pistol/carbine range with a couple metal targets to plink at, but their claim to fame has to be the distance range that goes out to 1400+. I think membership for a year is 310 or so and you can bring a guest once a month. Hard to beat that for distance shooting. I have met a lot of good people out there and would definitely recommend it. They have matches out there and i am sure there are clubs that are centered out there, but i have not gone that far myself. I am circling the wagons until after the election, but if things get normalized i will pop my head out and try to pick up back out there i think.
