Now Dec 9 has passed. What is the steps in using gun trust for NFA transfer now?

This. The proposed rules do not automatically go into effect upon the expiration of the comment period. Here's what I see happening. CLEO signoff is changed to notification. Fingerprints/photographs are required of responsible parties of non-individual applicants.

Looks like they are planning to have the Final Action on this proposed rule completed 06/2014.

Who are they going to get to do this finger printing? Seems like that would route you back through the CLEO to get fingerprints.

Over all, this is looking pretty shady of the BATFE NFA branch.

We have not managed to review every comment, but we have yet to find one that fully supports the proposed rule. All of the examples we've read are critical of one or more aspects of the proposal. Hopefully, the overwhelming public opposition to the proposal will force the Obama administration to reconsider this poorly conceived effort that would only serve to further burden law abiding gun owners.
