Is it a true Sharps or a reproduction, like Pedersoli, Tayor, etc? The older rifles use the old Sharps designed pin and there is a small screw that holds the pin assembly in. remove it and the assembly slides out to the rear. The new ones have a sliding plate that slides out to the left, it might also have a screw securing it. slide the plate out and the transfer bar comes out the back then the spring loaded firing pin also comes out. There's a guy near Quinlan but I'm not sure if he does repair work or not, I'll try to find out. Welcome by the way :)
