Haven't shot my glock in a while so decided to take out for a walk at H H range.
Put 200 rounds through her before I headed back to the hotel.
Dot needs just a bit of adjustment (not much) but I got it down. Pic 1 is the glock with the red dot vortex. Two and three are the some of the shots at 12 yards and four are shots at 20 or 22 yards.
Still need to undercut the trigger and sand on the grip.
    Good day anyway.

Any day shooting is a great day! I have been wondering about the red dots on handguns.

I have tried a few different pistols with red dots, to include this nicely done G19 of steelfingers, and am glad I did! I found out that the “dot” looks like a big fuzzy ball out there for me; guess my eyes just need to be “adjusted” and not the red dot sight. Anyway, I couldn’t hit crap with the ones I gave a try. Now I’ve shot rifles with a dot sight, and they were fine. It’s just that my arms need to be a foot longer if I’m trying to shoot a pistol with a dot sight. In other words, red dots on a pistol are apparently not for me.

I heard green is easier to see. Haven't tried either one myself, though.

I need to do this, and see if that works for me before I go and spend good money on a red dot. I'm glad I got to try a few and "see" that it was a no-go for me. I was about to go buy one! I tried my reading glasses on too; but it was still a big fuzzy ball.

SF: If you see this, please bring that G19 to the ENS and I'll bring a couple of different pairs of reading glasses along and check it out. I might get lucky...as if.
