Wasn’t that introduced not long after the Las Vegas incident, during all the political knee jerking?

Not sure, I think it was introduced in February this year sadly my memoy is going and don’t remember exactly when the Vegas shooting occurred.

Introducing a gun control bill in an election year is instant legislative death, and Congress knows this. They know it would never pass, but this will appease their constituents and be a platform for fundraising, nothing more.

Many years ago there was a book entitled At Noon, Mr Byng Was Shot. The title comes from the ship's log which read "At noon, Mr Byng was shot dead by Six Marines and put into his coffin."
