Handgun and caliber?

I cringe at the thought of only having ONE handgun, but if so I would certainly choose the Ruger Redhawk in .44 Mag.

That would probably affect selection.

No just curious, no right or wrong answers. A .357mag I can also shot .38 specials if I needed to ,conceal it with the right holster and hunt with it if I had too,throw in a rifle of the same caliber,and I'd be good to go.

I reckon my choice would be either .44-40 or .357, as I have rifles to match. Couldn't completely rule the humble .22LR either.

I was torn between the GP-100 and the Redhawk .44Mag, I think either will last for pert near eternity.

Good choice; a K-frame S&W in either 38 special or 357 magnum is never a mistake.
