[QUOTE="jc5420, post: 2792555, member: 16425"] Had some time today and made it out to a very scary place... A PUBLIC RANGE!!! Anyways, I knew I would be the only one there and I only had about an hour of time available and this needed to be completed today. I began by shooting a control group using the large lot of 36.0gr Varget ammunition I already had loaded from months back. This ammunition has ran fine to roughly 1300 yards before the barrel speed up. So I shot 5 of these over the chronograph to get a base line and they performed as expected with a velocity average of 2725. I now have 10 rounds loaded for each charge weight, 35.6 and 35.7, which gave extremely interesting results. As I started with 35.6gr everything started off good, but then the velocities began to increase with each shot to an average of 2718. WTH... I could not believe what happened, there was no reason for this I could find when brainstorming my load process. After this I let the barrel cool before shooting the 10 charges of 35.7gr, but once these registered over the chrono they averaged 2726... Luckily I brought along about 50 or so charged at 36.0gr so I was able to run yet another test which showed an average increase to 2735 over 15 rounds. So I learned today my barrel speed up once I hit 400 rounds from 2690 to 2725. The barrel was stable for yet another 150 rounds until today where it speed up from 2725 to 2735 where I believe It has settled... I will be shooting my next match with a charge of 36.0gr of Varget hoping that everything runs smoothly... I will do no more load development until I purchase several thousand of the new 130 hybrids... Sorry, no pictures from the range. I put 40 rounds into 1 group about the size of a quarter, just sending bullets over the chrono was the goal today... A pic just cause.
