Driving north, in the very east section of Kansas, early Saturday morning, saw a couple of does dart through the fog across the road, slowed and had a pair of bucks, probably 6 points each pause and let us past. Thought it was a bit early for those shenanigans?
They often feed in same areas and travel the same pathways year round.

Went out to move a ladder stand on one of my TX places and had a little accident...

I got it wrapped up with what I had in my Ranger and finally got to look at it when I got back home. It’s not too bad.:blush:

Glad it wasn't worse! My biggest concern while hunting alone is being hurt seriously. I don't have cell phone coverage and there's no hospital nearby.

My wife worries about me getting seriously hurt every time I come to my place up there (over 500 miles from home), but I figure if it’s my time to go I can’t think of a better place for it to happen.:anyone:
