Driving north, in the very east section of Kansas, early Saturday morning, saw a couple of does dart through the fog across the road, slowed and had a pair of bucks, probably 6 points each pause and let us past. Thought it was a bit early for those shenanigans?

They often feed in same areas and travel the same pathways year round.

Went out to move a ladder stand on one of my TX places and had a little accident...

I got it wrapped up with what I had in my Ranger and finally got to look at it when I got back home. It’s not too bad.

Glad it wasn't worse! My biggest concern while hunting alone is being hurt seriously. I don't have cell phone coverage and there's no hospital nearby.

My wife worries about me getting seriously hurt every time I come to my place up there (over 500 miles from home), but I figure if it’s my time to go I can’t think of a better place for it to happen.

Great advice, but I really don’t think it would’ve worked on this cut.

I've glued some big ones, if you can get the bleeding to stop, it's pretty good and holding some huge lacerations together.
