I have never cooked it, but have eaten a multitude of Lengua Burritos. By your account I’m guessing it’s advised to continue buying the pre-made, and pass on cooking it myself?
No, just use the instapot so your house doesnt smell like dirty socks lol
Or do it on a cool spring day when you can open some windows.
I cook tongue alot and grew up with mom making it often, its stinks bad for that 2 hour boil.

Ive never had an issue with the smell, but I wash the tongue really well and scoop scum for the first 10-20 minutes of the boil. I’m pretty disappointed in the consistency I get though. Not tough, but very liver/heart like consistency.

I eat bunches of boiled eggs, hard and soft boiled. The trick with cooking eggs is always use eggs that are at leave 5-7 days old if buying from the store. Let them sit out on the counter 10-15 minutes so that they aren’t as cold when dropping in the water. Even with the softest drop you can still have cracked eggs due to the sudden temp change. Drop the in boiling water, I typically go for a slow gentle boil to start. Between 5:30 and 6:00 for soft boiled, 8-12 minutes for hard boiled. Pull them off the heat once they hit your preferred time, run cold water into pan until eggs are able to be handled. Shake pan to crack eggs against side of pan, peel while warm. Piece of cake.

like poached eggs? All you gotta do is use your toaster as a timer. Perfect every time.

I tried putting eggs in a muffin pan and baking them (don't remember the temp or how long I was told to cook 'em).
They were hard boiled eggs but guess I slightly overdid it because they all had a burn mark where the egg had been in touch with the edge of the baking pan.
Still ate them though.
