Somehow our place came out just fine. Water in the road in front, and the field behind is a lake...but the cellar is bone dry.

Glad your family's home is secure. I heard the $ figure of how many livestock lives were lost. Its into the hundreds of millions of dollars.
Lots of family farms will probably just have to fold. Terrible disaster.
