Truer words were never spoken.... dictionary term for bear arms, a. to carry weapons. b.to serve as a member of the military or of contending forces: His religious convictions kept him from bearing arms, but he served as an ambulance driver with the Red Cross. My observation is not a popular one but I believe it is the truest one... If you go back and read more than the 2nd amendment you will realize that the bill of rights were recognized as God given and to be protected at all costs by our govt.... not for the govt to chip and chisel away at.... I would say all gun laws are unconstitutional.... For example, even the ones that say a felon cannot own, have or carry.... I believe that once a person goes to prison or jail and have served their time.... that is it, served their time, they are finished... but yet it is their rights, not privileges that are taken away.... so they are forced to serve a lifetime sentence of giving up their recognized and constitutionally guaranteed god given rights that supposedly cannot be taken away for any reason, as they are not a gift.... Which is a requirement of the govt to protect at all costs, an oath that every branch representative takes before they serve.... To protect the constitution it is not just a neat thing to say at the swearing in ceremony... Once people get used to being punished and loosing their rights or it is an excepted practice in the community.... then we are all truly prisoners just at different levels of legal standings.... instead of all men that ARE created equal.... We become peasants with different levels of anointing.... Just something to think about....
