Good news is no parvo.... bad news he has hook worms. Dog acne from being in the sun. Dew claws won't come off now til 8 months when my vet fixes him. I decided to leave his tail on. Vet said probably best now. Too young and sickly right now to go under anesthesia. Will wait and see if the overbite messes with his canines if so will deal with that then. Vet said with his weight loss from the hook worms and not knowing how long he had been stray probably 7 weeks old. Weight was 8 1/2 lbs.
Vet bill was $85 and change. Heartworm and flea/ tick was free along with a compliment from him. I told him I've always liked dogs better than most people and I have no use at all for the kind of folks that could do this.
Any how keep the names coming and thanks for taking a look and commenting on my post.
👍

Where do you take your dogs for vet services?? The vets around Tulsa probably would charge twice that much, and the heartworm and tick meds would NOT be free! But good on you taking in that pup. It won the lottery :)

I was leaning towards Bear or Ruger, then Cowboy seemed to fit.

Not a fan of Walt, but Kowalski fits him, well.

From past experience, call him by different names and watch how he responds. He will let you know what his name is.

It doesn't matter what you name him, for a little while, until he gets out of the puppy stage, he's gonna think his name is dammit or Jesus Christ, because when he sheets on your bedroom floor, that's what's gonna come flying out of your mouth!
Heard this from an old timer years ago:
If you get a puppy and wonder what kind of dog it is...well it's a Sooner Dog (just as sooner s--- in the house as out in the yard).
