I know this isn’t for everyone. But I picked up one of these for my mom and dad yesterday.

It is a 6” Milwaukee, I’d call it a pruning saw. At 78 and 82, they have difficulty with even the smallest chain saw. I considered the more expensive Stihl 4” GTA 26, but dismissed it because it was not an auto-oiler. This one weighs about 4.8lbs with the battery.

I made about 25 cuts of 1-2.5” diameter just now and it worked very well. I think it will sever them well.

I have multiple M12 tools including a fuel hatchet sawsall. This is interesting I have never seen this tool before. I wonder how it compares vs a hatchet sawsall with a diablo carbide blade. That is what I use for small trimming jobs normally.

I’m not really sure. I’ve sawsall to trim some broken limbs up to place in the dumpster before. It was marginal. But, if I can’t cut them with my Stihl loppers, I get out the 193T. If this M12 pruner/saw was in the garage, I’d grab it before getting out the 193T. But it is not cool enough for me to consider buying one to fit between the popper and the 193T. My sawsall is a 18v Dewault using a new style 20v battery and conversion.

Looks like the bare tool is $179 but it was just released a few months ago. If they get the price down by about $50 I may just have to try one for the heck of it.

I spent a bit of time today dropping a tree that was severely damaged from the ice storm. It was about 50’ to what was left of it at the top of the main trunk. With the exception of one small branch everything was broken but still in the tree. I should have swapped to the 20” bar on the 026 Pro for the final cut at the base. But I left the 16” on it. I’m tired, I’ll have to drag the rest of the main trunk to the curb later! :)

If you were in the Tulsa area, I’d pick up the logs for my woodworking.
