Help with a forsaken barrel nut 🔩

Any ideas on who makes this “patent pending” devils device? I can’t figure out how to free the soul of my barrel.

My armorers tool from PA doesn’t fit it well enough so it might be proprietary?

This is a decade old rguns upper if it helps.

Is that a sleeve that goes over the barrel nut? I assume you removed the set screws in the holes already. Any pictures of the handguard that went with it?

Yeah I thought it might be pressure fit over something, but I cant get it to move. I thought it was a YHM but can’t find much info.

Without seeing it in person, it looks like there are two pieces, an outer sleeve and an inner nut. Use a non marring hammer on the outer sleeve and tap it toward the muzzle. Then the actual nut will be exposed to loosen to remove the barrel.

It is eating me alive too. I am going to get some better work holding tools and give it a rip.
