Guys one thing many here do not know, in some states, especially in the NE part of the country. You can go see your shrink, tell him are going to go buy a gun and start killing people, and it will not be reported. Law says they are suppose to report that kind of thing but many shrinks see it as doc / patient privilege.

Was driving when I heard the news update. Said a prayer before the update had finished, and at that point the news was 1 dead and 1 wounded and the shooter was in custody. I'm not even all that religious, meaning I'm a Christian, but I ain't there every time the doors are unlocked, but I believe you are correct, at least for those that pray. It is instinctual, and happens spontaneously.

I take Prozac for depression. When I stopped taking it I got so depressed my life was miserable. So I got back on it and it has helped tremendously. I also take testosterone shots because my test is so low. I have to take it. My body doesn’t produce any. It was 37 when I started taking it. The lowest it should be is 250! I take a few other medications as well and they help me. One is to help me not pee as much. Without it I go to the bathroom about 50 times a day. And I would wake up 6-7 times a night to pee. Now I can sleep all night without getting up. And that is actually good for my health. I know some people are against taking meds but I ain’t.Nowadays taking meds doesn't mean there's something wrong with you, they're just for enhancement, to make life better.

Seems mentally ill used to mean totally psychotic bang-your-head-on-the-wall obviously crazy and a danger to yourself or others.
Now it means can't deal with real life.
I blame all the wireless devices we have, all those radio waves going thru our heads all the time.
My son was diagnosed with ADHD in the first grade. He was doing poorly in school and was getting in trouble all the time. I could understand it as I didn’t raise him that way. He got his rear beat plenty of times. We took him to a doctor ( who was great) and my son was diagnosed. When he started taking adderal I could not believe the difference it made. He stopped getting in trouble and started doing better in school. But I do hate giving it to him. I know it’s addictive. I’m sure he has developed dependency. He is 16 now and when he doesn’t take it he is horrible acting. But when he does take it he calms down a lot and is much more respectful. I am really wondering if it’s the dependency now that is causing the mood swings. I mean they are severe. My son takes Prozac too but I stopped giving it to him. I am gonna talk with his doctor about this and see if it could be the issue. I am hoping we can cut the dose down and ween him off of it.
But I think a big problem today is phones and social media. My son doesn’t have social media but he has a phone. These kids live on them. He is always on his phone, laptop or Xbox. I don’t mind the Xbox as I play with him on destiny on my PS5 a lot. I know I enjoy it and he does too. But the phone bothers me. And I know that’s mostly my fault. I should have gotten him a cheap flip phone.
