I thought it interesting that someone from a totally different discipline said the same.

And I can't even run a trigger that fast much less get hits while doing so.

I zero my red dot glocks at 10y, but I also shoot them at 50 and 100y to see what the poi is at those ranges, and also to fine tune the windage, if necessary.

With a dot, perfect is the enemy of good enough. You'll see a drop in speed as you "chase the dot". You'll have to overcome that tendency. IIRC, with that top loading (battery) Venom, you'll need taller than average suppressor sights to witness them even lower 1/3. Here's a standard set of Ameriglo suppressor sights on my G40 with an RMR. I do like the green dot front, as it's easier to see than a plain black blade past all that other black, plus it contrasts nicely with the red dot.
