Herter's Ammo

Anyone ever used this brand of ammo? Especially 380 ACP or 9mm. It is pretty cheap, but it looks cheap too.

I haven't seen Herter's ammo for sale in several years. I thought they were out of business.

There's another thread or two on this. I've heard it is just rebranded Wolf ammo. I don't know for sure, but it certainly looks the same.

I was pretty sure Herters closed down several years ago. Used to be an excellent source for reloading components.

Not sure of the brand, but those prices are ridiculous in about every caliber. 99 for black talons in 9mm, lol. He also had monarch fmj at 29 a box in 380, which is double academy's price.

Somebody has acquired the rights to the Herters name. They have been gone for a long time. That company was weirder than ham ice cream. They put their bizarre idea of how one should live his life all through their wacky catalogue.

That said, some of their products were excellent. Some were just strange. CB
