I bought some of this ammo cuz it was pretty cheap delivered to my door. It cost $21.25 per 500 delivered. It was $19.99 at Cabela’s and they had free 2-day shipping on orders over $50. Ordered it Thursday night and received it before noon today. Box has no velocity claim. Cabela’s site says 1280fps. Girls n I went and shot bout 300 of em. We took 3 different firearms to check it out. Ruger precision rimfire, Henry levergun and a ruger mkII with 6” pencil barrel. Probably put 150 of em through the mkII and had zero failures. Had no issues with the rifles either. Ammo didn’t seem very dirty running and no smell. Below is chrono data fwiw and I’ll post shooting results in next post. All shooting over the chrono was at 10 feet.

Next is 50yds with the Ruger precision rimfire. I know from previous testing that this rifle doesn’t like the faster ammo but we gonna try it anyhow. Lol
Wife took the first stab at it. These were shot from a table using bipod. I realized quickly scope was still set for 100yds CCI Sv but wife continued same poa without adjusting and finished group

I adjusted scope to that rifle/scopes zero for CCI Sv at 50yds and she shot the 15 rounds of CCI Sv we had with us into the group below. Kinda worked well that we had it with us to prove the combo works as it has before.

I then shot the following group at that same zero using herters

I made a lil adjustment and my 14yo daughter shot the one below with herters

another adjustment and my 10yo daughter took her turn using herters

Then we went to 100yds. Honestly the wind was pretty erratic but I’m gonna show ya anyhow. I took the first turn and did some dialing and called it good enough for the conditions.
My target below with several adjustments

Then the wife

In summary on the 100yds, a little left adjustment and I’ll call these diller boppin certified.

That concludes our results.

Good write up man. Couple things I noticed first the velocities are hot especially for so called target ammo and the spreads were huge. From other things I read online about this ammo. I have seen it was hot and its been said its WWB running 1280. I think the target part means use the empty box as target, but I could be wrong. The fact it went bang everytime and its is $20 a box makes it good for plinking if nothing else.

I am guessing that ammo just sucks in that Ruger MKII, that or you shoot a Glock a heck of a lot better :pms2:.

Here is some data I had from your RPR with 2 of the most common ammos the CCI - SV with a SD: 5.8 FPS that you know it likes and the good old Neckbeards with an SD: 15.7 FPS vs the Herters SD : 31.4 With the poor sd and it being HV its not surprising 100yd wasn't impressive then add in wind. Not much in your favor.

We will have to test it in that Glock and your 1911 variant next time we get together.

Excellent review friends! Thank you!
I love CCI SV ammo for affordable accurate plinking, pest control etc.
Curious if you have tested Aguilla SV ammo?
Thanks Bassin! I love CCI Sv too and may have a small pile of it. It’s been out of stock about everywhere for a couple weeks.
@blake711 I don’t think we have shot any of that have we?
