Since you're staying at MGM....here goes. I may break this into 2 posts, 1. Sight seeing. 2. Things to do and eating.

1. I recommend either a car or buy a ticket for either the monorail or definitely the bus. Yes the bus is clean and safe..this one in the picture....Fremont to all over the strip.
las-vegas-city-bus-usa-april-people-ride-sdx-sdx-operated-wright-streetcar-articulated-hybrid-manufactured-54042583.jpg

Since you're on the "South" end I'd go to Mandalay Bay:
1. Shark Reef Aquarium. They use to for a few extra bucks take a group behind the scenes of the aquarium.

2. If the weather is good (take a jacket anyway in March) eat lunch outside at the Border Grill...you can watch the bathers at the beach and float down the lazy river.

3. Go to Red Square.........have a "cold" vodka..google it, you'll see what I mean.

4. Delano...as in President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Go up to the Sky Lounge and have a drink.

Paris.

Go up the Eiffel Tower at night great view....ET restaurant is okay at best. The only reason to go there is to get a seat by the window.

Caesars.....get ready to walk....did I mention walk. Window shop all through the Forum Mall.

Venetian...get ready to walk...lots of shopping here and cool sights. Ride the Gondola..it goes outside and inside the casino.

Wynn...if you like golf here it is. Also, Steve Wynn built Shadow Creek and it is still an awesome course even though he sold it.
The only reason we go here is to sit and have a drink by the lake.

Stratosphere:
Go at night ...what a view. Restaurant is okay.
[Broken External Image]

Don't know how long your going to stay....as for now...that's a quickie of the Strip.

Fremont:

It's mainly for gambling and your odds are the best here.

Gamble...play single deck blackjack at the El Cortez. Craps...El Co, Binions, or Golden Gate.

Slots at Binion's or 4-Queens.

Small tournaments at Binion's and Golden Nugget.

At night the Fremont Street Experience is cool.

Tour behind the scene at the Golden Nugget Shark tank.

Food...the Golden Nugget is great!!!

Vic and Anthony's......steak is very good. Get her a spiced pear drink and she will love it. It may not be on the menu anymore aske the waiter to get the bartender to make it.

Eat at the Chart House at the GN right in front of the aquarium...great food(we share the seafood tower) and a great view of the fish.

Have a drink at night at Binion's steak house on top of the casino. Food is okay...view and drinks are nice!!!

1. Ruth's Chris in Harrahs.....awesome food and a great view of the strip.

Part 2.

***If you want points with the wife*** In your casino, either get her a massage and you go play poker or craps somewhere OR if you want to earn triple wife points go with her and do a couples massage.

Places to see with a car: Don't know how long you'll be there...

1. Hoover Dam hard hat tour...inside the dam.
https://hooverdam.denisonparking.co...ExternalID=HDVCTKTS&CategoryExternalID=HDTKTS

2. Red Rock Canyon...about 25 minutes West of Vegas. Hard to believe that this is located so close to Vegas...but it is a desert.
Take the Strip North to around the Stratosphere....drive North until you hit Charleston Blvd. Turn West or left on Charleston..it becomes West Charleston or they call it 159...but it's Charleston or West Charleston.....drive for about 20-25 minutes...depends on traffic and the lights...keep driving West until you get there. We have a little place in the Queensridge area.

If you like authentic Chinese food that's good...do lunch here: Ping Pang Pong. Dang Good!!!!!
It's in the Gold Coast casino....West of the Strip...behind Caesars over by the Rio.
http://www.goldcoastcasino.com/dine/ping-pang-pong

If you like museums....Fremont area... Mob Museum and the Neon Museum. Google them for cost and hours.

East of the El Co-El Cortez is the container park.

***Stay away from Pawn Stars shop...it has become the worst & biggest tourist trap in Vegas***

If you like the show "Tanked" go visit their shop..it's cool, you can take a tour and see all the workers that are on TV...andlook at how small it is...TV makes it look bigger. Google the address...it's on the South end of the Strip.

Last thing:

Buy a dollar chip from every casino you go to as a cheap and memorable souvenir. Put them in a cool frame in your den.

il_570xN.883241435_cuer.jpg

Not to far from the Stratosphere is a VERY cool vintage Vegas store ....I always buy antique and vintage chips from them.

You can order frames, chips, antique ash trays from them also.
https://spinettisgaming.com/search?q=frame Spinettis...NOT Gamblers General Store...next to them.

There are a ton of things to do and I could go on and on. Take it easy, soak it in, and enjoy the company of your wife in Vegas.

Cheers...:sunbath:

**If you like craps...try the "Iron Cross" or the "Three Point Molly"....you tube it.

Remember...Vegas wasn't built on winners....have fun and good luck!!!

What Cohiba said pretty much covers it ALL, lollll. When I lived there out by the airport took the bus almost every where. The spa at The Bellagio is my wife's fave spa when we're in Vegas. I would love the copter flight to the canyons but my wife is scared of heights and had mixed feelings so she said no. I'm gonna do it sometime tho without her. Sounds like fun.

on the road...tapatalkn

That food looks great! However, I used to flying helicopters and they tend to shake themselves to pieces unless strict maintenance is done. Many times I've had hot hydraulic fluid drop and leak on me as it flew. Chips In Engine light was a biggie, the engine could lock up. However, they can autorotate to the ground if they lose power and the pilot is experienced. I still like them!
