i have one that i have had for more than more than 10 years now, i love the thing every time i take it out. the only problem is i never take it out, there are other guns that fill its role better. slapping a recover brace on a g19 is far more fun and damn near as functional as my 995ts at this point. plus with the 10 round mags, its kind of meh...

I had the older 45 carbine and it was not any more accurate than the 45 pistols I have so I sold it.
I later got a 40 pistol and it was ok but not as accurate as my 45 pistols.
I then got the 40 carbine and it is more accurate than all of them and I love it.
Cheap to load for also when you cast and powder coat your own ammo.

I can't comment on the 9MM but if you liked the one you had I would not hesitate to get another.
I have a Bushnell Trophy 3-9 x40 scope on my 40 carbine.
I really like my Hi-Point firearms.
Stupid reliable and will eat anything.

I have 2 of the older 995's 1 in the monkey stock and i changed out 1 for the ts stock also have 1 4095 and 4595. cant say much other than they went bang when i pulled the trigger except the 4595 and i have never fired it. They dont get out of the safe to often due to others in the past and now days none gets out of the safe very often unless i have a purpose of using them for something important.

I had one, bought it probably 8 or 9 years ago. I only kept it around for a couple years. For me it was “meh” … Wound up selling it to a buddy who doesn’t shoot that often. I’ve been spoiled by nicer guns now it’s hard to go back.

They are reliable… BUT: clunky, safety sucks, trigger sucks, factory plastic pic rail sucks, magwell sucks, etc…

I just picked one up after wanting one for a long time. Today I drilled and tapped holes for a rail and put a red dot on it. Tomorrow the Zhukov Yugo AK folding stock gets delivered and I'll start cutting and modifying. Red Ball 20-rounds mags are ordered. It's going to be ghettotastic.

Why would you drill holes for a rail when you could’ve just bought the correct rail for it?
