How can you spot the difference?
I have a mag here, not sure what its to.
It clicks into my HP...but is marked Italy. I read that the factory mags that come with HPs are marked Italy, but I also had a 92 for a while and may have gotten them mixed. Any pointers?

I think its a HP mag. It seats and clicks into my HP well...and reading up it sounds like the factory 13 round mags that come with HP fit this description and marking. I think the Beretta mags I had were marked PB on them. It sounds like you CAN get a Beretta mag to work in a HP with some modding...but this one goes right in.

Load it up. If it only holds 13, it's not a factory Beretta 92 mag.

I don't recall ever trying a 92 mag in my Hi-Power (or vice versa) when I had both, but I wouldn't be shocked if the mags fit. The mags for my P226 and 92G were almost interchangeable, except for the placement of the magazine catch notches, and they weren't far off.

Looks like an HP to me as well:

From Midway, Browning Magazine Browning Hi-Power Practical 9mm Luger Steel Matte. I think the little spring on the back of the
magazine aids in kicking it out of the magazine well when the mag release is activated. I would imagine that Mec Gar(Italy) makes the
magazines for Browning.

It is a Hi Power magazine. The "mouse trap" spring gives it away. As posted above, Mec-Gar in Italy makes the "factory" BHP mags, and the mouse trap spring helps the mag to fall free even if the mag safety is still in place. Excellent mags, btw.
