High capacity 1911 ?

You really don’t have many options out there under $2000 unless it’s a RIA Tac Ultra HC or finding an older Para P-14 on gunbroker, which arent too hard to find. Never wanted to venture into the LDA models. A double action 1911…no thanks. The Staccatos (they’ve dropped the STI name and are discontinuing the competition models) have gotten rave reviews. But personally, a polymer frame 1911…no thanks.

The frame is metal. Almost all the important geometry is locked up in the frame. Only the grip is polymer.
