I noticed a new sign on hwy 66 a couple of months ago and wondered what they were doing. Wouldn't seem to be an reason for a new sign except re-opening it. May have to go one evening, went to a couple of movies there in the 70's

Ponca had someone try to reopen the Airline Drive-In Theater that existed when I was a kid, but the current availability of the internet and mobile devices pretty much shut it down because people can stay at home and watch first run movies vs the old stuff they were showing.
I hope this one is successful and profitable for the owners.

The Uniform Time Act of 1966 was a big factor of ending the drive-in movie theater.
And when you add the Internet Movies available The drive in is a dead duck.
