Hog Trapping

I've been playing cat and mouse with the pigs since I bought my new place here a couple years ago, and I've only been able to catch one about a year ago. I keep a trap set and a camera on it, and last night I hit a jackpot.
There will be pork on the menu this holiday season.

I agree, but I needed them out of the trap. I already have a feed bill with 7 replacement heifers on feed right now.

Our Osage County GW told me he tried to feed out a feral piglet. By the time it got adult size he had more money in feed than he got from the weight gain.

The people I know that feed wild pigs aren't doing it because it's economical, and as many corn feeders there are in east Texas, the pigs are pretty much corn fed anyway.

Good luck getting that pork to taste good. Some people may know how to do it, I've never had any luck or ate any that I could stand.
