I made this mount 1 piece no Picatinny rail for this one.

The top plate is the correct angle and has the triangle edges where the scope rings mount.
Lot stiffer than the aluminum rail.

The front and rear rings when I mount them line up perfectly.
Scope sits down in them nice and smooth and straight.
That was something I was worried about as I am just using an angle grinder and a straight edge and a file.

Yes cold blue.
Not the greatest but it should work for now.

That's a great mod. I just put a rail on a '96 Swedish. The receiver was already drilled and tapped for a mount somewhere between metric and American. It was a challenge to say the least.
The thing I like about your mount is there are no permanent mods to the gun.

Yes and do not let your friends use your hand files.
Some friends think they cut in both directions.

You get left with a dull file. :)
See, this is what I love about swampratt.

1) In a post-apocalyptic world, I desparattely want to be swampratt's friend!
2) He won't loan you his tools.... but he WILL just fix it for you himself.

I need to test them first and I would rather share the instructions so everyone can make their own.
A mill would make this so much easier to make.
It does not look like much but it takes about 7 hours to whittle one out with my crappy choice of tools.

Tested the 2 rifles 6.5 x 55 rifles today with scopes on them.
Sure is easier to hold on a specific point.

The 1910 I got from Moboost none of the numbers match on the parts and the crown is miffed.
It shows it on paper best group was load #3 as I numbered the loads.
2.250" for #3 and load #1 was 3.470" at 100 yards.

Now onto the rifle I got from @Hangfire . I only shot 1 load from it and it was the same Load I put on paper earlier.
I shot 1 round and got on the box and adjusted the scope.
I shot 2 more rounds and walked to the 100 yard spot and looked and then walked back and shot 1 more round and walked back to the target and my son who was with me said.

YOU MISSED THE ENTIRE BOX!
Look closer big boy I stuck one almost in the same hole.
The load is on the picture. .500" for 3 shots 140A-Max H4350
