Well, it seems that when this topic comes up I am always the one that goes against the grain and maybe now a days this is true. When I played around with different factory loads for my CZ 527 I purchased 60 rounds of Hornady V-Max and 60 rounds of Z-Max and figured that with the price of the Z-Max I might get away with buying tons of it instead of the more expensive V-Max. After a day at the range testing both ammunition types out I was left very confused. The V-Max (.5-.75 MOA) performed a whole lot better than the Z-Max (1.25-1.75 MOA). When I pulled the projectiles from their casings one had a boat tail and the other was flat base. From my experience they were entirely different performers and the Z-Max just left me hanging. It has been close to a year so I cannot tell you which was which or what weight I was using or hell maybe I am just confused and losing my mind. (Sorry, I know hard to see) [Broken External Image] Bottom left was an average 5 shot group @ 100 yards with Hornady V-Max Bottom right was an average 5 shot group @ 100 yards with Hornady Z-Max
