Thinking of heading East to try my luck at snagging I know it was a gully washer on the first.

Saw a cartoon years ago, where the farmer and his wife were on their rooftop, watching their sheds and barns floating by.

Wife says, "If you say we needed the rain one more time..."

The water was rolling thunder ..all the way up to my little jeep trail..I would say 6-10 feet higher than normal.

But the fish were still there.
Plenty of shad and a lot of surfacing fish Caught a few blues.. snagged 1 gar that busted my line.. dang teeth.
But I got ti fight it for a few good minutes. Love that part.

I got 1 paddle fish a male about 40 LB.
Left at noon and headed to Eufaula dam thinking I could get into some sandbass or something.
Nope.
Not generating and water was low.
A few blues were caught by 1 guy he had 6 but was there for 9 hours to get that and little dinks kept teasing you with nibbles on Shad gizzards.
Shad below Eufaulla were in huge amounts.. take a dip net when they came by and get 100 at a time.
Shad crusing the concrete walls for the entire length of the wall.
Fish had easy meals presented to them.. made the bite very slow.
