I have a room that I call my gun room. There is crap piled in every corner and there is no semblance of order. Somedays I wish I was one of those OCD people that was good at organizing. Unfortunately I am not. You should see the desk that I'm typing this on. Actually, you can't really see much of the desk. But there is a can of spray cheez and some crackers to keep you fed while trying to find it. :-)
I utilize my custom made magazine organizer, that hangs on the back of my gun room door.
I work from home, so my desk also serves as my lunch room on occasion. :-)

When I was a kid we moved a lot due to my Pops job,,,
But one consistent thing was this plaque my Mom always hung in our kitchen.
It was a black and white gag photo of two cavemen and their wives,,,
They were playing cards at a kitchen table made of stone.
The caption read: "Next week, we've gotta get organized."

I've got a piolet system pile it here pile it there as long as no one messes with the piles it's all good. Oh she's gone now so the piles are safe.

Oh yeah, pour another one brother.
I’ve had good luck with the coated metal ones that mount underneath safe shelves. Holds about 6 mags.
My wife made this for me about a year ago. It only holds a few of many.
I have a 40 x 60 shop and crap is stacked everywhere. My worst problem is how to store boxes that came with new or used firearms. I know some boxes for old guns are worth almost as much as the gun. I just hate to throw them out
