Thanks for the help guys.
As for converting my XR, that's no problem.
The problem lies with finding a local tag agent who isn't on the rag and will actually help me proceed with the titling.
Anyone know of one the the Broken Arrow area?

Flatwins, where you been hiding?

Geeze, its that state wide? I've never seen so many angry people that are there to serve the public and be so angry as those in our two tag agency's. Is it a rule they can't smile and interact with a customer when they are upbeat and trying to be pleasant?

Mystery to me.
Ask 5 different tag agents the same question, get 5 different answers.
My workplace has used the same local tag agent for around 15 years.
We're amazed at the inconsistencies doing the same tasks week ofter week.
Private business could't survive doing that.

Man, I agree with that. I bought a canoe from a person back when they had to have a boat number, and took the receipt into the tag agent. She said the request to tag had to come from the state after sending in the SN and sales receipt. I showed her the sales receipt, and she said she knew the family and gladly took care of it. I thought WTF but kept my mouth shut. Thats hard for me to do!

I have found the ladies at the tag agency in the 5900 block of South Garnett Rd to be very helpful. Used them for over 20 years. Highly recommend them as a starting point from my experiences.

You might have to go to the main drivers license testing place to have it inspected though, kinda like they have to do with the home built street rods.

Good luck to you.

Tag agencies are private businesses, albeit licensed ones. It's DPS (DL testing, etc.) that's run by the state.

The dealership ( where I bought my last 2 vehicles uses a tag agent 7 miles away because the agent in the same town is a biotch. That says something when someone that has that much business prefers to make the drive instead of going to the closest one.

Thanks for the correction.
Perhaps they need more competition?

I visited the Cherokee tag agency with my wife recently.
The one in East Tulsa, near Catoosa.
It was a great experience.
Everything was up to date, friendly people, very organized.
They seemed to have it together.
