We need pics, sn,and what ever to determine anything.

Sorry about that Mr. Dennishoddy, ran across these on a possible trade. The man that has them for trade wouldn't let take them out to see if they would shoot or take pics. Passed up the trade for lack of knowledge on the pistols, and lack of cooperation by the owner. Have never even heard of Howe firearms before today. All I can say for sure is that they were made in Germany. Didn't have any model numbers on them.
Thanks for the reply though, was beginning to think I had violated the post rules or something and nobody was talking to me 'cause I had screwed up.:wave:

I've searched the internet every where, and can find no reference to Howe dueling pistols.
Griffith and Howe made rifles and shotguns but no reference to Howe making anything by himself. They were British gun makers, not German as you mentioned the pistols were.
Were they flintlock?
