I may have posted this before, but our feeder was just outside the back patio doors. We could stand with our nose against the glass if we didn't move (apologies for the poor quality pic). This was probably back in the '90s. :D

We've had 'em do that too, back when Sweetie was able to do the feeders. It's amazing how they remember exactly where that feeder should be.

I've also had 'em buzz an orange chain hoist when my shop was open. They're definitely NOT color blind. :D

I have had them buzz my head when feeders have run dry, as if, "When are you going to refill them"? For having such small brains, they are amazing.

Any chance you were wearing a colorful cap? :D

No colorful hat! :) I have seen them go up to tail lights on the pickup and also go up to an orange 22 plastic spinning target; almost anything close to a shade of red. Best thing about them, is watching their aerial dogfights with each other.
