My goodness. Sending prayers your way @O4L.
Thank you sir! I appreciate it.

I think all is well at this point. It made me very weak but I'm getting a little stronger every day. I think I'll be able to go back to work next week.

The biggest down side is that I'll probably have to sell a pistol or two since I've missed three weeks of work without any paid leave.

Glad to hear you are on the mend. Many of us have been there, myself included. I had to end up selling a good supply of firearms after some surprise medical bills came in. I was told during my neck surgery that everything was covered under my insurance. Apparently anesthesiology wasn't part of 'everything'.

That's too bad. Sorry to hear that.

I need a hernia surgery but without insurance I haven't been able to save up enough to have it done. Maybe someday. :)

Coke in all forms (Fountain, bottle, can etc...) still has a real bad chemical taste to me and its been months
For me too but I am not sure it is us. I think it is coke changed something or we are getting very old stock. I had to switch to diet pepsi.

It was a while ago, but that is where I got my first taste of how inept and deceitful medical billing could be.

They always tell you everythng is covered then the bills start coming in, i have dealt with it for years on the wife and she was double covered and still had bills coming in.

First time I've made coffee in three weeks and I can't taste it. Bummer!

Next big surprise - when you start tasting it, it will taste awful. (at least that's what happened to me) After a few weeks I started liking it again, but there for a while coffee and bananas tasted like chemicals to me. Weird stuff.
