I've said this before, my cousin has a huge locker full of Federal bulk boxes of .22 ammo. He does not own a .22 rifle or pistol.
.22 is the new gold standard according to him.

I was at the Walmart here in Yukon today and they had over 15 boxes of 22 short and about 15 boxes of 22 magnums.
Their ammo cabinet is pretty full today.
