I know right. I do want a 2006 4.3 manual. But those aren't common. Old fords and Toyotas seem to be right for me these days.

Truth right there. 05 Heavy Half with the 6.0L. Almost 400k with regular maintenance and a few bolt on replacement parts - oil pump, water pump, alternator, belts/pulleys, u-joints, front hubs, and one fuel pump. If she blew up tomorrow, I'd throw a new motor in it and get another 400k out of it.
mine has less than 28,000 miles on it . the front camera failed so the collision avoidance system and auto dim for the head lights don't work. remote start only works 50% of the time and never when it is cold outside. when you hit the button to roll up the drivers window it goes up a few inches then back down , takes multiple tries to get it all the way up. it is all under warranty put the dealer just gives me the run around.
I traded a 2017 Ram 5.7 liter hemi in on it all the consumer rating sites will tell you Ram is junk , but it was the best truck I have ever owned. I'm thinking Toyota or Nissan if I live long enough to need another one

With all the integrated low voltage systems it can be a nightmare trying to track down problems.
I watched a youtube video where a SUV, Hyundai I think, would barely run. The mechanic used all his expensive diagnostic stuff and it turned out to be a problem with the backup camera in the rear hatch.
That's insane. Who in their right mind would make a product like that.
