I have an AR with strange issue

You're saying "click and it won't fire". Is the trigger resetting and it is actually a click with no bang?

If not maybe it's low power ammo or something dirty in the gas system. Gas rings bad maybe.

The hammer was moving and striking the firing pin, but not sufficiently to discharge the round.

Are you 100% sure the hammer was actually striking the firing pin? The inertia of the firing pin all by itself will leave a pretty big dimple in the primer.

Nope, but a drop in trigger group fixed it... Note all of the other groups that got round robined through her rifle worked in my AR just fine. So I have no idea, but the bottom line is it works now.

Hammer spring installed incorrectly? Jus' sayin"......

The holes for the fire control group is a possibility. I was thinking it could possibly be a damaged disconnecter from a slightly over gassed rifle over time, and the fire control group isn’t properly resetting.
