I need a new tv and I'm cheap

I'm thinking of getting an inexpensive smart t.v. to stream movies and shows. A 40"-50" would be plenty big enough for me. I've just started looking online.

There seems to be a lot of choices available these days. Staying under $200 would be great and definitely under $300 max. I'm cheap but I like to get the best deal for the money.

I'm not up to date on all the new lingo and features. Do you guys have any suggestions on what to get or what to look for in a t.v. these days?

You can go on amazon and look for refurbished tvs for major discounts. Plus they give you a 30 day guarantee to try it out. I have bought 3 tvs and a laptop like that and have never had a problem.

sams club or walmart would be my go to. Then maybe best buy. Get a smart TV if you don't mind Gov listening in on you. You can stream Netflix or what ever.

It is all I own.
They can be had in your price range

do not get LG or Vizio - Company bought 16 Vizio to put in breakrooms. 14 went out in first year. 3 lasted less than a month.

TCL or HiSense on the cheap

I stick to that.
I mainly buy Samsung but do have one Sanyo that was my patio TV. No problems

If you want cheap smart TV, go with TCL. They have a good track record and are easy to use. I've replaced all of my Sony and Sanyo TV's with the much cheaper TCL.
