I’ve got a Loring Peach Tree I planted in the early spring this year. To my surprise, it produced a dozen or so peaches during the summer. Right now, it’s laid over at a 90 degree angle from the ice - I hope this tree makes it.
Most of my neighborhood's trees look like this. Snapped this picture on my way out this afternoon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So how are the roads near mustang? I havent been out but I'm running low on Cope and will have to drive 2 miles to get some tomorrow
get out there and break the ice off. The leaves are carrying the major load of weight and the tree is going into winter dormancy. It won't hurt to loose the leaves now.
We sold ours a couple weeks ago on video and set tomorrow as the delivery date. Kinda hard to change what’s done.
Broke the ice off with a rake but lost a bunch of leaves in the process. The tree is upright now - fingers crossed.
I have a 250,000 btu diesel heater I am seriously thinking of taking it to the front yard and fire it up and point it at the tree. It should melt that ice in 5 or 10 minutes lol.
