From a discussion I saw on these internets a couple of months ago, it seems that the blue Redbox machines are in Wal Marts to match their blue color scheme.

Some people claim the blue ones are the ones that carry Blu-Ray discs, which may be true, but it's not exclusive, because I pull out Blu-Rays from red Redbox machines all the time.

I'm excited to see video games coming to Redbox.... hopefully.
