I've been shooting for a little while now and am wanting to get into the competative side of it. Is there an IDPA match that an amature like myself can compete in? The only one's i can find are for national events. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks man! Already getting nervous about sucking at it. lol. I've trained plenty with M-16/AR-15's in the Marines, but didn't do any training with a pistol. The only time I shot the M9 in service was qualification and twice in theater. I did qualify expert each time though. I do have a bad habbit of psyching myself out too. lol. From everything i've heard it should be a ton of fun and that's what i'm really looking for.
