IDPA Saturday Mar 24 OCR&GC

Your next Oil Capital IDPA match is Saturday March 24th . Set-up commences at 0730, sign-in at 0900 and walk-thru at 1000. Match fee is $12 ($10 for OCR&GC members). Expect something a bit over 100 rounds.

A Classifier will follow Saturday’s match, assuming the predicted good weather holds out. There will be additional Classifiers offered in coming weeks. The Classifier requires 90 rounds. Every IDPA member must shoot a Classifier every 12 months to retain a current Classification in each Division in which they hold a classification. Cost to shoot Classifier is $5; n/c to OCR&GC members. Classifications will be calculated via Beach Bunny and updated classification issued on the spot. Please bring your official IDPA white or new green/tan Classification card with you.

The weather is looking good for this. I had a great time at the last IDPA match there and hope to make this one.

We WILL be shooting IDPA at Oil Capital this Saturday, March 24th. The weather looks to be fantastic, or a tad even better. As previously announced, a Classifier WILL be available after the main match.

Thanks to everyone for coming out. Results are out via BCC email to the shooters. Please PM me if yours does not find you.

The shooters seemed to enjoy the all-Vickers stages at the match. Lots of good matches shot by many. The degree of difficulty was a tad higher than the usual monthly match, but we’re ramping up into the high Spring match season and the upcoming Badlands/OK State. Eric F. took day’s low score on 4 of the six stages. Mitch H. and Paul B. each captured a low score.

Still need a Classifier to be eligible to shoot the Badlands and other upcoming Sanctioned matches? The number of opportunities to shoot one is rapidly dwindling. We’ll plan on one after the last match prior to the Badlands, Sunday April 8th. If you’ll not be able to make that one, better let me know and we’ll see when we can set up a classifier on a non-match day. With our range field lighting, we can even shoot after dark on weekdays, so most every option is on the table.
