Your next Oil Capital IDPA match is Sunday April 8th . Set-up commences at 0730, sign-in at 0900 and walk-thru at 1000. Match fee is $12 ($10 for OCR&GC members). Expect something a bit over 100 rounds. Also expect some special things to debut that might later be used in the upcoming Badlands; not the same stages, just some special things.

A Classifier will follow Sunday’s match, assuming the predicted good weather holds out. There will be additional Classifiers offered in coming weeks. The Classifier requires 90 rounds. Every IDPA member must shoot a Classifier every 12 months to retain a current Classification in each Division in which they hold a classification. Cost to shoot Classifier is $5; n/c to OCR&GC members. Classifications will be calculated via Beach Bunny and updated classification issued on the spot. Please bring your official IDPA white or new green/tan Classification card with you.

The Badlands Regional & Oklahoma State 2012 is April 28-29th. More information about the match is on http://www.badlandsidpa.com/ A PDF fillable application is at http://www.badlandsidpa.com/images/pdf/Badlands_2012_Application.pdf Lots of applications are already in; is yours?

Keep Safe!

PS Yes, we know the 8th is Easter. When we were choosing dates back in November the Easter name wasn't on the calendar we were using. I did not have the option to choose another date, at the point we discover this several months ago. Lots of Easter sunrise services out there well before match sign-in time. Dress warm for them, as the air is often chilly at sunrise.

Thanks to all for coming out! Results are out by BCC email to the shooters.Even the Easter Bunny’s first cousin, a big wild bunny, made an appearance. It hopped from Pistol Right all the way down the safety wall, disappearing around the corner to Pistol Left. The day’s match challenge level was a bit above the usual match; Badlands is on the near horizon. Low score honors went to Jerry B. and Paul B., with 3 stages each.

Needless to say, there will not be a normal monthly match Saturday April 28. The next regular match will be Sunday May 13th. Those who wish to come watch the Badlands on the weekend of April 28-29 are welcome; please bring your eye and ear protection for you and all in your party. By around noon on Sunday, we’ll be finished shooting and into passing out the awards mode.

Keep Safe!
