If you want to upgrade your NRA Lifetime Membership, they are offering an upgrade to Endowment Member during the registration for this year's annual meeting in Indianapolis. Normally, Endowment Membership is $1000, but they are offering it for $250.

Endowment Membership is the first membership level that gets you voting rights in the NRA.

Went to NRA show in Indianapolis 5 or 6 years ago (forget year) and had a blast. Have been a life member for a few years but like mentioned above, not sure I'd give them any more of "my money"

WHAT?!?!?!?! Where on earth did you come up with that?!?!?! au contraire
A Life member at ANY level is eligible to vote, and an annual member with at least five years of continuous membership is qualified.

NRA Patron level Life member ... soon to be Benefactor.

Yeah, I'm an idiot! When I read the differences between levels, I saw voting for Directors for Lifetime members and voting in NRA elections for Endowment members and thought that meant you had more voting opportunities if you upgraded.

Whoa! Didn't mean to call you an idiot. I apologize if that was the impression I gave you. I just did not want anyone to think the only way they had to gain voting status was through a Life Membership of any kind! I was an annual member (and voting member) for many, many years before I became a Life member.

Just had a chat with them, and here's the text:

Hello, this is Devin with NRA Membership. How can I help you today?

I'm an NRA Patron Life Member, working on Endowment level. I've just been advised that the NRA advised members of the Georgia state senate Judiciary Committee to vote IN FAVOR of SB150 (a Michael Bloomberg concoction), which would have taken guns away from those accused of domestic violence without due process. Is this true? Yes, or No?

That's not true. https://www.nraila.org/articles/201...-bill-tabled-after-advancing-out-of-committee

I know it was not brought up for a vote, but I also know there are some dirty tricks when it comes to politics. Are you categorically denying that any representative of the NRA advised any member of that committee to support that legislation.? I know some people who are ready to withhold any more financial support for the NRA because of this.

What I know as a Membership Specialist is that we opposed the bill, and got it tabled. The people who would know more details are in the NRA-ILA. You can talk to them at 800-392-8683.

Thank you.

I have not called them yet, but I will. I encourage the rest of you to do the same.
