What I saw the NG do after hurricane Michael was distribute cases of bottled water and MREs. We were darn glad to see them. I also saw them relieving Florida Highway Patrol directing traffic at some of the major intersections. NG were some of the good guys. FEMA was worse than worthless. Lowe's store was destroyed, but they quickly set up a huge tent in their parking lot and had chain saws, fuel, trash bags, rakes, tarps and lots of other desperately needed supplies. They even gave away blue 5-gallon buckets with 2 bags of ice in them.
