[QUOTE="Rez Exelon, post: 4204956, member: 5800"] Actually no --- it's the same topic. The app in question is used to get people seeking asylum in CBP system. As such, it's creating an identity record for them. So if they get to an airport without other forms of ID, then that identity record serves the exact same purpose for them as TSA looking up information about a US citizen/PR in their systems. It's simply establishing identity. That's not a free pass. If anything, that's establishing better tracking and survelliance of folks in the country with applications compared to someone that might come in and then disappear from the radar. Shocking thing here, but airports are designed to get people in and out. Like, they're not some exclusive club. There's no requirement to be a citizen to use them. Don't have to be a permanent resident. Don't have to really have any qualifications. Now, if you have warrants then it might be dumb to go there, but otherwise.... Also shocking... the same thing applies to other modes of transit. Busses, Trains, Taxis, Uber, Cars (except for license requirements but the US does allow many foreign drivers licenses the same way other countries honor our licenses with certain conditions).
